The thesis behind Zarya.
Freight documentation is a pain point that scales with trade volume, and Pakistan is one of the largest origin countries for textiles, rice and surgical instruments. Every container that leaves Karachi port carries a stack of paper that someone has to read, compare and approve. Zarya automates the comparison.
The founders spent three years building document-extraction pipelines as a service for Gulf logistics companies. They turned the most repeatable part of that work into a product, and the first paying customers are the same logistics firms that used to hire them by the hour.
The people building it.
Two co-founders based in Karachi: a machine-learning engineer who previously built OCR systems for a Gulf bank, and a logistics operator who managed customs brokerage for one of Pakistan's largest freight forwarders.
